A prisoner can be said as a person who violates rules or commits a crime is known as a prisoner, a prisoner can be someone who got punished for a crime or someone waiting to get punished.
It is seen that prisoners face so many problems while being in jail or while bearing their punishment and also after they are released from jail.
Usually, society doesn’t accept people back who have been in prison in the past and also people try to trouble the family of a prisoner as well. People don’t see that the person has committed a crime in the past, was punished for the same and he/she doesn’t always be required to punish for the whole life.
There are many organizations, NGOs (Non-government organizations), non-profitable organizations, and people who try to help these prisoners and solve the problems they face.
Pushpanjalii is one of those NGOs or a non-profitable organization situated in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Which tries to understand the problems faced by these prisoners, tries to solve those problems.
Pushpanjalii also works on counseling the prisoners to bring them out of the criminal world.

- Overcrowding is a very big problem faced by prisoners. There are more prisoners and fewer jails due to which prisoners face problems in living there.
- There are no proper facilities available in the prisons, hygiene is not maintained in the prisons due to which it is seen that prisoners usually fall ill again and again.
- It is seen that staff working in the prisons are not trained properly and they also demand the bribe for doing the work asked by the prisoners.
- Female prisoners face gender discrimination, sexual harassment, and many more problems.
Pushpanjalii makes the prisoners get educated, learn new things, give employment opportunities to them which will keep them busy and away from the crime world.
Pushpanjalii also works on keeping a clean prison so that prisoners won’t get any health issues, try to remove gender discrimination and make female prisoners live without facing any fears, works on keeping the prisons hygienic so that the prisoners won’t fall ill, and also helps to improve facilities available in the prisons.
